BOMB EXPLOSION IN MAIDUGURI  Borno State Police Command has confirmed that eight people were killed and fifteen others sustained various degrees of injuries following a bomb explosion in Gwoza Local Government Area, Borno State, Nigeria. Police Public Relations Officer ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso reported that the tragic incident occurred on June 29, 2024, at approximately 15:40 hours.  A woman carrying baby detonated an Improvised Explosive Device IED at a busy Motor Park in Mararaba T. Junction in Gwoza town.  The explosion claimed the lives of the woman, the little baby she was carrying, and six others, leaving fifteen persons with various degrees of injuries. The injured persons are currently receiving treatment at General Hospital Gwoza.

ARMED ROBBERS KILL MILITARY GENERAL IN ABUJA Armed Robbers have on Saturday attacked Sunshine Homes Estate in the Lokogoma area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, killing a Nigerian Army's retired Brigadier General, identified as Uwem Harold Udokwere.  Sources available to Ideal Reporters said the Robbers injured one of the Estate guards during the attack, noting that Brig.
