Governor Sule’s Senior Aide Abducted In Lafia
Concerns have been raised in Lafia following the abduction of Dr. Muhammed Egye Osolafia, popularly known as Deedat, Senior Special Assistant on Humanitarian Affairs to Governor Abdullahi Sule.
According to family sources, unidentified gunmen invaded his residence in the Tudun Amba area of Lafia on Saturday night, firing sporadically before taking him to an unknown destination.
Security agencies have been alerted and have commenced investigations with assurances that efforts are underway to secure his release.
As at the time of filing this report, no group had claimed responsibility for the abduction, and the kidnappers were yet to contact the family.
Community members have urged the authorities to strengthen security measures within Lafia and its surrounding areas to prevent similar incidents.
