GUNMAN NABBED IN BOKKOS AMID SUNDAY SERVICE 


At about 8:30 am on Sunday, operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps nabbed a gunman from his hideout in a Church premises. 

The armed man whose identity has yet to be disclosed was reportedly intercepted following intelligence surveillance by Officers and men of the NSCDC, Plateau State Command. 

Bokkos Local Government Area of the State would have been thrown into mourning on Easter day if not for the timely intervention of the Civil Defence Corps.

Spokesperson of the Plateau State NSCDC Command, ASP NR Rimvyok has confirmed the arrest of the man in a phone conversation with the Press.

Rimvyok said investigation was ongoing to ascertain the motive of the suspect. The State Commandant Ishaku Musa, FDC, JP has instructed the Divisional Officer to move rte suspect to Jos for further investigation. 

Citizens have expressed deep concern over recent development surrounding insecurity in the State, calling on the authority to investigate and prosecute the suspects, hoping that if justice is served, and a good example is set, recurrence of similar incidents may be prevented.
