POLICE SIEGE KANO EMIR'S PALACE, BAR ENTRY AND EXIT 

Armed Policemen and operatives of the State Security Service, SSS, have surrounded the Kano Emir’s Palace, Kofar Kudu barring entry and exit.

Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II is expected to escort the newly appointed Wamban Kano, Munir Sanusi, to Bichi District where he was posted - Ideal Reporters gathered. 

This development is likely to heighten tension across Kano State. At the moment, the duo of Emir Sanusi abd Emir Aminu Bayero are parading themselves as Emirs, with each occupying a Palace and surrounded by his loyalists.

Not only is this unusual, it has the potential of undermining peace in the State, something the Kano State Government must keep in check.
