LAUTECH STUDENTS PROTEST KILLING OF FELLOW STUDENT


Students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, took to the street yesterday blocking roads to protest the alleged killing of fellow student.

The victim lossed his life to a fight that broke out among students of the school at a nightclub in Ogbomoso on Monday night.


Ideal Reporters learnt that the incident was caused by a misunderstanding, which led to a fight between two groups of students at a popular joint in Ogbomosho.

Ideal Reporters gathered that the fight broke out while students were celebrating convocation ceremony of the school.


LAUTECH spokesman Lekan Fadeyi disclosed that the unfortunate incident did not happen on campus, as it took place around midnight at a hotel situated at Under G area of Ogbomosho.

Police spokesman Adewale Osifeso said investigations into what transpired have commenced. He said details would be provided soon.
