Nasarawa General Hospital Patients Wait For Doctors As Monday Consultations Yet To Begin By 10am

Patients seeking medical attention at the Nasarawa Model Hospital (General Hospital, Nasarawa), in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, were still waiting to be attended to by doctors as of 10:00am on Monday.

The patients, who included children, pregnant women and people suffering from various ailments, were reportedly left waiting at the facility, as doctors have yet to arrive.

Some of the patients said they had come to the hospital on Monday after reportedly not being attended to by doctors during the weekend.

According to the patients, only nurses were available at the hospital during the weekend. While the nurses attended to patients within the limits of their professional responsibilities, some cases, they said, required the attention and consultation of medical doctors.

The situation has reportedly left several patients waiting at the hospital for medical attention, with some expressing concern over the delay.

The affected patients appealed to the relevant health authorities to urgently address the situation and ensure that doctors are available to attend to patients, particularly those requiring medical consultation and treatment.

They also called for measures to prevent a recurrence, stressing that timely access to medical care is essential, especially for pregnant women, children and patients with urgent health needs.

As of 10:00am on Monday, consultations with doctors had reportedly not commenced at the facility, leaving the waiting patients calling for urgent intervention by the appropriate authorities.
