Nasarawa State Government Announces Suleiman Ahmed Eko As 4th Osu Ajiri

The Nasarawa State Government has officially announced the appointment of Suleiman Ahmed Eko as the 4th Osu Ajiri.

The announcement was made by the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government, Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs, Aminu Mu'azu Maifata. 

This followed conclusion of all necessary processes leading to the selection, ratification, and approval of the new traditional ruler. The appointment, according to Maifata, takes effect from Tuesday, 14th April 2026.

The 1972 born monarch is a graduate of the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, and happily married with children.

He succeeds the late Osu Ajiri, HRH Alhaji Halilu Bala Usman, a former Deputy Governor of the old Plateau State, who passed away on May 25, 2025.

Further details regarding the coronation and formal presentation of the new Osu Ajiri are expected to be released by the government in due course.
