Islamic NGOs Converge In Nasarawa For Capacity-Building On Fundraising Management
Islamic non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Nasarawa State converged at Kofar Kudu, Nasarawa, for a capacity-building training on Fundraising Management for Non-Profit Islamic Organizations, organized by Nisa’ul Jannah Foundation in collaboration with the Islamic Da’wah and Research Foundation.
The training brought together representatives of various Islamic NGOs to deliberate on sustainable fundraising strategies, share experiences, and assess the social impact of their interventions across communities in the state.
The session was facilitated by Sheikh Ja'afar Musa Loko, a renowned Islamic scholar, business consultant, and Director of the Islamic Da’wah and Research Foundation.
Participants described the training as interactive, educative, and insightful, with discussions centered on ethical fundraising, accountability, and long-term organizational sustainability.
Speaking at the event, Hajiya Halima Aliyu, Director of Nisa’ul Jannah Foundation, expressed deep appreciation to the facilitator, Sheikh Ja’afar Musa Loko, on behalf of the Foundation. She reflected on the remarkable progress recorded by Nisa’ul Jannah since its inception three years ago, attributing its success to genuine commitment and collaboration collaboration, including desire for sustainability.
Hajiya Halima highlighted the Foundation’s key areas of intervention, which include supporting the education of the girl-child, empowering vulnerable women, both married and widowed through investment and livelihood support, and extending care to orphans. She also emphasized the Foundation’s role in providing guidance to women on marital affairs and advancing general Da’wah activities aimed at strengthening moral and social values within the community.
During the interactive session, participating organizations presented various project ideas and proposals, including environmental, educational, and humanitarian initiatives, reflecting the growing scope and relevance of Islamic NGOs in addressing contemporary social challenges.
The event significantly pointed to the importance of unity, knowledge-sharing, and strategic planning among Islamic non-profit organizations, while reaffirming their collective capacity to contribute meaningfully to sustainable development, social welfare, and faith-based community service across Nasarawa State.
