TINUBU FORWARDS THREE AMBASSADORIAL NOMINEES TO SENATE FOR CONFIRMATION

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has transmitted a list of three ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for screening and confirmation.

The request was read on the floor of the Senate on Wednesday by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during plenary.

Those nominated include Kayode Are from Ogun State, Aminu Dalhatu from Jigawa State, and Ayodele Oke, a former Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).

Akpabio noted that the president indicated more names would be forwarded in due course. He subsequently referred the nominations to the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs for further legislative action and directed the committee to report back within one week.

The latest nominees are expected to fill vacant ambassadorial positions as the federal government moves to strengthen Nigeria’s diplomatic representation across the world.

FMC Keffi Seeks Help In Identifying Unconscious Road Accident Victim The Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Keffi, has called on members of the public to help identify an unconscious patient currently receiving treatment at the hospital’s Accident and Emergency Department. According to a statement signed by Aminu Usman Sarki, on behalf of the Head of Public Relations and Protocol, the patient, identified as Sanusi Abass, a middle-aged man, was brought to the hospital around 2:00 p.m. yesterday by officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) after a road traffic accident along the Keffi–Abuja expressway.
