NAF Wipes Out ISWAP Terrorists, Bandits In Borno, Kwara, Katsina, Zamfara, And Kaduna
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its nationwide counterterrorism and counter-banditry operations, executing a series of precision airstrikes that have neutralized Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists and destroyed multiple bandit enclaves across several states.
According to a statement issued by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the coordinated air missions eliminated ISWAP fighters in Mallam Fatori and Shuwaram, Borno State, while similar strikes decimated bandit hideouts in Garin Dandi and Chigogo, Kwara State, as well as Zango Hill in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The statement added that the operations also extended to parts of Zamfara and Kaduna States, marking significant progress in the ongoing military efforts under Operation HADIN KAI and Operation FANSAN YAMMA. These joint operations, Ejodame noted, represent a decisive phase in the fight against terrorist and criminal networks across Nigeria’s northern theatres.
The Nigerian Air Force emphasized that the success of these precision missions demonstrates the renewed operational momentum directed by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke.
“Each mission reaffirms NAF’s resolve to employ smarter, intelligence-driven airpower capable of delivering purposeful lethality against insurgents and criminals, while safeguarding the lives and property of Nigerians,” the statement read.
The Nigerian Air Force reiterated its commitment to sustaining the offensive until terrorism and banditry are completely eradicated, ensuring lasting peace and stability in the affected regions.
