Hilda Baci Sets New Guinness World Record

Nigerian celebrity chef, Hilda Baci, has once again etched her name in the Guinness World Records after cooking up the largest ever serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice.

The record-breaking feat, achieved in partnership with Gino Nigeria, produced a staggering 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) of jollof rice. According to Hilda, the massive dish required “nine hours of fire, passion and teamwork” and consumed about 1,200 kg of gas before being served in 16,600 plates to a cheering crowd.

Guinness World Records confirmed the achievement and celebrated Baci’s success with a message on its official page: “Congratulations on cooking up another successful record Hilda Baci.”

This latest recognition comes after Hilda sparked record-breaking fever across Africa with her widely celebrated cook-a-thon in 2023, where she first entered the Guinness World Records.

The event not only showcased Nigerian culinary excellence but also embodied a spirit of joy, love, and community.
