Atiku Foundation Awards Fully-Funded Scholarships to TeenEagle Global Finalists

... Commended for Championing Education and Youth Empowerment in Nigeria

The Atiku Abubakar Foundation (AAF) has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to educational advancement and youth empowerment with the offer of fully-funded scholarships to three outstanding Nigerian students—Nafisa Abdullahi, Rukaiya Mohammed Fema, and Khadija Kashim Kalli—who emerged as global winners at the recently concluded TeenEagle Global Finals.

The scholarship offer, as contained in a letter dated 5th August, 2025, signed by Prof. Ahmadu Shehu, Ag. Secretary of AAF, covers the remainder of the beneficiaries’ secondary education as well as their university education in any institution of their choice.

Describing the girls' remarkable performance as a testament to academic excellence and the boundless potential of all children regardless of background, the Foundation reaffirmed its dedication to supporting quality education—particularly for girls and other vulnerable groups across Nigeria.

Observers and education advocates have hailed the gesture by the Atiku Abubakar Foundation as not only commendable, but also transformational. The scholarships are expected to inspire generations of Nigerian youths to pursue education, develop interest in critical thinking, innovation, and personal growth.

“This kind of investment is what Nigeria urgently needs,” said a youth advocate. “When young people realize that excellence is recognized and rewarded, they are more likely to channel their time and energy into learning and growth, which in turn builds a future of thinkers, technocrats, policy shapers and global influencers.”

The broader implication for Nigeria is clear: with consistent support like this, the nation stands a greater chance of producing competent professionals and leaders capable of driving national development and representing the country on the global stage.

The Atiku Abubakar Foundation continues to distinguish itself as a beacon of hope in the philanthropic and educational space, fostering a brighter future through inclusive and equitable access to learning.
