Breaking: Former President Muhammadu Buhari Dies in London — Garba Shehu Confirms

Former presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, has confirmed the passing of Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari. In a brief statement released on Saturday, July 13, 2025, Shehu said:

“Inna Lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. The family has announced the passing of the former President, Muhammadu Buhari, this afternoon, in a clinic in London. May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin.”

Further details are expected from the family in the coming hours.
