AL-MUSTAPHA HARUNA JAKOLO, THE 19TH EMIR OF GWANDU REACTS TO SUPREME COURT JUDGEMENT, WHICH CAME 20 YEARS AFTER HE WAS DEPOSED

The 19th Emir of Gwandu, Alh. Al-Mustapha Haruna Jakolo has reacted to Supreme Court judgement, which came 20 years after he was deposed. In his reaction, he write;

"Regret to tell you that we lost the Case. Almighty Allah’s Will has prevailed and we are in total submission to His Divine Will. He alone knows why He willed it that way but it is well appreciated by us since He alone knows what He has saved us from coming our way. We fervently prayed to Him with patience. His designs for us are better than our plans and we are unreservedly grateful to Him for His Grace and Favours. He stated in the Holy Qur’an that we may like something but it may not be good for us. We may also dislike something but it is better for us. To Almighty Allah SWT be the Glory. We hereby extend our profound gratitude to ALL who prayed and supported us in this Twenty-Year old Court Case. The Human Beings have passed their Verdict; now let’s await the Divine Justice of the Just Judge (Almighty Allah SWT ). 

I must further express my appreciation to all the Justices of the High Court, Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court who were courageous in doing justice. My special gratitude to All my lawyers, especially the indefatigable Barrister Sylvester Imhanobe (not yet a SAN) who meticulously defended my Cases in State High Courts, Federal High Courts, Courts of Appeal and several times in the Supreme Court under different Presiding Justices from 2005 to 2025 without losing a SINGLE CASE in different Locations: Abuja, Sokoto and Kebbi. He professionally thrashed the following Senior Advocates of Nigeria:

2. ⁠Late Yunus Ustaz Usman, SAN

3. ⁠Yakubu Maikyau, SAN ( along with Four Other SAN of his Chamber )

4. ⁠Late Ibrahim K Sanusi, SAN

5. ⁠Husseini Zakariyyau, SAN. 

Mr Imhanobe visited in Obi, Nassarawa State, Abuja National Hospital, Kaduna, Sokoto and Birnin Kebbi. Most of the time at his own expense and defying Security Hazards. While my earlier Muslim Hausa/ Fulani Lawyers betrayed me, Mr Sylvester Imhanobe a devout and devoted Christian from Edo State never compromised his Reputation and Honor.

For the benefit of those who thrive in perpetuating injustice they should know that Almighty Allah SWT is Just, abhors injustice and very swift in Retributive Justice. “ They plot and plan. Allah too plans and He is the Best of Planners “. Very soon the Day of Reckoning will come and we shall watch the Unjust pay heavily for their Acts of Injustice, in sha Allah SWT. The two Justices of the Supreme Court, Justice Uwani ABBA Aji JSC and Justice Ibrahim Mohammad Musa SAULAWA JSC who dared to do justice as the Minority, your names will be remembered as Real Respected and Honorable Members of the Supreme Court. As for those who live a fake life dragging the Reputation of the Supreme Court into the mud the shame will follow you even enveloping your Descendants till Doomsday.

For my Colleagues the Traditional Rulers who bent backward to perpetrate injustice, ha! You’ve not too long to wait for yours to catch up with you especially the particular one in Kebbi State who, when his father died I braved all odds to help him become the Emir, when everyone opposed him including his younger brother (same parents). It was not too long ago that he escaped being dethroned and weeping and wailing like a baby. Your own is sure to come soon by the Grace of Allah SWT. As for the Two combatant former Kebbi State Governors who only recently pretended to mend fences now connived to fight me as the common enemy, wait and see how Almighty Allah SWT will avenge me and render both of you as destitute.

My Lawyers Barrister Samson Audu, Christian and Igala from Kogi State and Barrister Pascal C Oyenobi, Christian and Igbo from the Southeast, my gratitude cannot be quantified. Almighty Allah SWT will reward you along with Barrister Sylvester Imhanobe handsomely.

For my family and friends it’s no gain saying the fact that words can never express my gratitude. You too will be rewarded by Almighty Allah SWT.

For the General Public who have expressed their support for my Struggles, I pray to Almighty Allah SWT to reward you abundantly. I shall never fail you in my next line of Service to my Beloved Country, Nigeria and all other obligations that Almighty Allah SWT has put on my shoulders. I hereby request your forgiveness for my shortcomings and offer my own forgiveness to all those who deserve them. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
