The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhamma Sa’adat Abubakar Declares Tomorrow Saturday First Day Of Ramadan

His Eminence, Alh. Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto and President General, Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs has declared Saturday as the first day of Ramadan.

He noted that reports on the sighting of the new crescent were received from various leaders across the Nigeria, which were later verified, authenticate and duly accepted.

To this end, he urged Muslims to commence fasting and devote to worshiping Almighty Allah.

He also urged them to use the sacred month for prayer for the country and  leaders at all levels.

The Sultan equally admonished giving out to the poor and vulnerable so that they could enjoy the Ramadan fast.

FMC Keffi Seeks Help In Identifying Unconscious Road Accident Victim The Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Keffi, has called on members of the public to help identify an unconscious patient currently receiving treatment at the hospital’s Accident and Emergency Department. According to a statement signed by Aminu Usman Sarki, on behalf of the Head of Public Relations and Protocol, the patient, identified as Sanusi Abass, a middle-aged man, was brought to the hospital around 2:00 p.m. yesterday by officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) after a road traffic accident along the Keffi–Abuja expressway. Mr. Sarki disclosed that while the patient is showing signs of improvement, he remains unconscious and unable to communicate any personal details or next of kin information.
