AISHA MAIKUDI EMERGES VICE CHANCELLOR, UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA 

The Governing Council of the University of Abuja, under the chairmanship of Air Vice-Marshal Saddiq Ismaila Kaita (Rtd), has approved the appointment of Professor Aisha Sani Maikudi as the 7th Substantive Vice-Chancellor.

The appointment was announced during the 77th Extraordinary Meeting of Council on Tuesday.

A statement by Acting Director, Information and University Relations, Dr Habib Yakoob, confirmed that, the appointment which takes effect from January 1, 2025, is for a non-renewable tenure of five years.

He said Maikudi emerged as the best among 10 shortlisted candidates interviewed by the Joint Council and Senate Selection Board of the University, in line with the extant regulations governing the process.

FMC Keffi Seeks Help In Identifying Unconscious Road Accident Victim The Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Keffi, has called on members of the public to help identify an unconscious patient currently receiving treatment at the hospital’s Accident and Emergency Department. According to a statement signed by Aminu Usman Sarki, on behalf of the Head of Public Relations and Protocol, the patient, identified as Sanusi Abass, a middle-aged man, was brought to the hospital around 2:00 p.m. yesterday by officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) after a road traffic accident along the Keffi–Abuja expressway.
