NASARAWA TOLL GATE YET TO BE REHABILITATED SIX MONTHS AFTER PAYMENT TO CONTRACTORS

Residents of Nasarawa, Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have expressed concern over non-rehabilitation of Nasarawa Toll Gate six months after contractors received payment. 

Sources available to Ideal Reporters revealed that Mainstream Contractors Nigeria Limited received the sum of N401.1m for the rehabilitation of Nasarawa Toll Gate in December 2023, a project that has yet to begin. 

The Federal Ministry of Works, the implementing body for the said project has been called upon to furnish the public with details, ensure commencement and speedy completion. 

The Tall Gate, strategically built on Federal Highway decades ago, is of significant importance, for it connects various parts of the country, particularly the Northcentral to Southwest and Southeast. 

Executing the project will give the Road face lift while regaining the confidence on citizens, as many have expressed dismay, and lack of trust on both government and the contracting company.
