 NASARAWA STATE GOVERNOR INSPECTS LITHIUM PROCESSING FACTORY AHEAD OF COMMISSIONING BY PRESIDENT TINUBU


Ahead of official commissioning of the largest lithium factory in Nigeria by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule was on inspection visit at Avatar New Energy Materials Co Ltd Wednesday, 1st May, 2024.

The company has the capacity to process 4,000 metric tons of lithium per day . Building the factory followed Federal Government's position on processing of raw minerals locally, as against exporting same. The policy aims to increase local production , create more jobs, generate revenue and enhance the mining sector. 

Nasarawa State has attracted domestic and foreign investors, in view of the huge minerals deposit that abound, justifying its position as home of solid minerals. 

Citizens are demanding for enforcement of local production policy, as only a few of mining companies have this far complied. Ceasing licenses of noncompliant companies, as stated by Dele Alake, Minister of Solid Minerals Development has to be effected for the country to adequately reach its minerals potentials.

FMC Keffi Seeks Help In Identifying Unconscious Road Accident Victim The Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Keffi, has called on members of the public to help identify an unconscious patient currently receiving treatment at the hospital’s Accident and Emergency Department. According to a statement signed by Aminu Usman Sarki, on behalf of the Head of Public Relations and Protocol, the patient, identified as Sanusi Abass, a middle-aged man, was brought to the hospital around 2:00 p.m. yesterday by officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) after a road traffic accident along the Keffi–Abuja expressway.
