Anambra State Government has declared Barr. Adachukwu Okafor wanted for allegedly brutalising her house-help in Onitsha, Anambra State.

Happiness Nwafor, 11 years old, was allegedly brutalised by her guardian, one Barr. Adachukwu Okafor with a hot knife and an electric iron Ideal Reporters gathered. Anambra State Police Command has since launched manhunt on the female lawyer for allegedly molesting her underaged victim.

Women under the aegis of Umuada Awgu Progressive Association and Umuada Awgu Global had cried out to relevant authorities, calling their attention on the assault and brutalisation of young Nwafor.

The honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye has reportedly placed the sum of N2million on the Adachukwu who has vanished into thin air since the unfortunate development.

In a statement, the honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Anambra State, Ify Obinabo, joined Federal Government to promise handsome reward to anyone with useful information that can lead to arrest of the suspect.

Obinabo said, “Anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of Adachukwu Okafor will be handsomely rewarded."

According to the victim, her mistress used broken bottle, iron, knife and pistol on her within two weeks of her stay with her. “She also burnt my clothes before dropping me off stark naked with my relative Ifeoma Muoghalu,” she added

Painfully, there are many other underaged victims of similar fate whose stories remain unheard. Why give out your underaged child as house-help in the first place ?. Parents who do so are themselves accomplices who ought to be treated as such.
