160 TRAINEES GRADUATE FROM UBEC's SECOND CHANCE MODEL SCHOOL AKWANGA  ...as Governor Sule approves N16m as seed money for trainees By: Ali Abare Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has approved sixteen million naira as seed money for the first set of graduating trainees at the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Second Chance School in Akwanga. Governor Sule announced this during the graduation ceremony of the school in Kurmin Tagwaye in Akwanga Local Government Area on Saturday.  The 160 trainees who are mostly school dropouts, widows and orphans within the age of 15 to 25, will each receive one hundred thousand naira to start their own businesses after acquiring skills in eight different trades namely computer, weaving, knitting, tailoring, catering, horticulture, cosmetology and pottery. GOVERNOR SULE PRESENTS ALLOCATION LETTERS OF 312 HOUSES TO CIVIL SERVANTS UNDER OWNER-OCCUPIER SCHEME  By: Ali Abare In a landmark ceremony, Governor Abdullahi Sule has presented allocation letters of 312 units of houses to civil servants as beneficiaries the owner-occupier scheme initiated by his administration. Governor Sule performed the symbolic presentation of the allocation letters to the deserving civil servants at the Government House on Friday. According to the Governor, it is the vision of his administration to provide houses to 50 percent of civil servants in the state before the expiration of his tenure, especially with the improved federal allocation coming to the state. Reiterating his firm believe in housing, he said that informed the decision of his administration to undertake the Technology Village Project in Karu, as well as the Peninsula Hills City in Masaka, aimed at providing affordable housing to the people of Nasarawa State.
